Eleven hardwoods are masterfully joined into a functional work of art. Exposed joinery, hand-cut dovetail joints, and exceptional detail work are but a few of the qualities found in this creative furniture piece. Highlights worth mentioning are the carved pistol pets, hidden key holder ( which pops our with the push of a hidden lever), and two secret compartments. Most notable is an intricate carving of a covered wagon framed b a backdrop of a mountain range, the focal point of the composition. A miniature barb-wire fence meanders in front of the mountain silhouette.

Brad and Lorraine Greenwood attribute their concept to Brad's ancestors, the Minot family, who traveled West in covered wagons in the 1880's. The Greenwoods reside on the eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada's, in Clio, CA near where the Donner Party encountered insurmountable hardship.
